Community Microscopy Session with Sustainable Little Tokyo

  • Japanese American Cultural & Community Center 244 San Pedro Street Los Angeles, CA, 90012 (map)

From LA Compost:

Soil and people are connected through this vast world of microorganisms. As they live, eat, die, and decompose, they transform our food scraps into energy and nutrients, building healthy soils that support all life on our planet!

Join us as we break out the microscope for some live soil microscopy, and encounter the microorganisms living in our soils and compost. We are especially excited to take a deeper dive into the microbial communities of Sustainable Little Tokyo's signature bokashi compost!
