Build your local community and join the nationwide movement to give back to your parks and make sure everyone can enjoy the outdoors.
Calling all public land lovers! National Public Lands Day is Saturday, September 28 from 8:30 am to 1:00 pm. As a signature event of the National Environmental Education Foundation (NEEF), NPLD fosters a strong connection between people and the environment, educating and cultivating environmental stewards.
The theme for National Public Lands Day 2024 is “Together for Tomorrow.” From trail maintenance to tree planting, beach clean-ups to forest bathing, and more, volunteers of all ages and abilities will roll up their sleeves and join forces for a common goal—stewarding America’s natural resources for future generations to enjoy.
The National Park Service in partnership with the Santa Monica Mountains Fund will be hosting a National Public Lands Day event at Rancho Sierra Vista in Newbury Park, California. Come join us to help improve trails for the public through brushing and lopping, assisting at the Native Plant Nursery, and watering native trees.
